Air controllers made efforts to divert
the aircraft back to LaGuardia or another
                   airport nearby. Chesley Sullenberger,
the captain pilot, realized the truth,
worked out the situation, and made his
decision. He would glide the aircraft into
the Hudson River, not to an airport. He
instructed the passengers to “brace for
impact”. This was what no one would
                   think they would hear.
